The Committee is examining the effect of the bedroom tax on Scotland. It is looking in particular at the implementation of welfare changes, and what powers the Scottish Government and local authorities have to mitigate any negative effects.
The Committee will be hearing from the Scottish Trades Union Congress(STUC), who represents over 630,000 trade unionists, the members of 37 affiliated trade unions and 22 Trades Union Councils.
STUC speak for trade union members in and out of work, in the community and in the workplace, in all occupational sectors and across Scotland.
