The Public Administration Select Committee (PASC) publishes Appointment of the Chair of the Committee on Standards in Public Life (HC 516-I), its Fifth Report of Session 2013-14, on Friday 12 July 2013 at 2.00 pm.
PASC took oral evidence from Lord Bew, the Government’s preferred candidate, on Thursday 11 July.
In the Report, the Committee concludes: “We are satisfied that Lord Bew has both the professional competences and personal independence necessary to fulfil this role. We wish him every success as the Chair of the Committee on Standards in Public Life.”
