Chair's comments
Committee Chairman Rt Hon Keith Vaz MP said:
"People continue to be trafficked into the UK, both for sexual exploitation and for labour. This market in people is abhorrent and the trafficking routes must be closed down with urgency, with a clear message that Britain is not open for this kind of business.
Anti-trafficking laws have been in place for ten years now. We will be asking why people are still abused in this way and what can be done to prevent it."
