The Committee is examining the effect of the bedroom tax on Scotland. It is looking in particular at the implementation of welfare changes, and what powers the Scottish Government and local authorities have to mitigate any negative effects.
The Committee will be hearing from Citizens Advice Scotland (CAS), which is a national umbrella body that provides essential services to Scottish citizens advice bureaux.
Citizens advice bureaux see the personal experiences of reforms as they take effect in households across Scotland, and are ideally placed to monitor the impact of the reforms on people and families.
