The Committee is exploring several subjects to help the people of Scotland make an informed choice in the forthcoming referendum on separation in September 2014.

One of these subjects is how Scotland would establish its own macroeconomic and institutional framework as part of forming a new state, in the event of separation.

The Committee will be taking evidence from two independent commentators about the currency and fiscal options which might face Scotland after separation.
