4.10 pm

  • Darren Johnson AM, Chair, London Assembly

The third session of this inquiry will give the Committee the opportunity to question the Chair of the London Assembly, the scrutiny body tasked with holding the Mayor to account. This will be a chance for Members to ask about the effectiveness with which the Mayor is held to account.

Planning issues

5.00pm

  • Nick Boles MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State, Department for Communities and Local Government

This one-off evidence session will be a chance for the Committee to question the planning Minister on the Government’s new permitted development rules. They allow certain householders and businesses to extend or change the use of their premises without the need for local authority planning permission. The Committee invited questions from the public for this session via #AskBoles on Twitter.
