MPs take evidence on FCO's human rights work in 2012
6 June 2013
This is the first evidence session for the Committee’s inquiry into the FCO’s human rights work in 2012.
- Parliament TV: The FCO's human rights work in 2012
- Inquiry: The FCO's human rights work in 2012
- Foreign Affairs Committee
The terms of reference were announced on 17 April 2013, two days after the FCO published its "annual report" on human rights: Human Rights and democracy: The 2012 Foreign and Commonwealth Office Report. This evidence session is likely to range widely across the FCO’s human rights work, with a particular focus on safeguarding human rights while countering terrorism overseas, and the Prevention of Sexual Violence in Conflict Initiative.
