Environmental Audit Committee to take evidence from the Committee on Climate Change

David Kennedy, Chief Executive of the Committee on Climate Change, will be questioned by the Environmental Audit Committee at 2.45 pm on Wednesday 3 July in Committee Room 8, Westminster Palace, as part of its inquiry into Progress on Carbon Budgets.

The session will explore a range of issues, including:
- Explore the findings in the CCC’s fifth progress report on meeting the carbon budgets;
- Follow up issues raised in the Government’s Response to the EAC’s 2011 report and subsequent developments, including treatment of emissions from international aviation and shipping, ‘embedded’ emissions, and the role of local authorities in delivering emissions reductions; and
- Explore the CCC’s future programme of work, including its review of the fourth carbon budget.
