The Foreign Affairs Committee will publish its Report The future of the European Union: UK Government policy at 00.01 am (BST) on Tuesday 11 June 2013. This will be the Committee’s First Report of Session 2013–14 (HC 87)

The Report follows an extended inquiry first triggered by the Prime Minister’s veto of EU Treaty change at the December 2011 European Council. It also starts to explore some of the implications of the Prime Minister’s January 2013 commitment that a Conservative Government elected in the 2015 General Election would hold an ‘in/out’ referendum on the UK’s continued EU membership by the end of 2017.

The Report will be made available on the Committee’s website, www.parliament.uk/facom, on 11 June and copies may be purchased from the Parliamentary Bookshop (12 Bridge Street, Westminster, London, SW1A 2JX; 020 7219 3890).

Embargoed copies of the Report will be available to witnesses and the media, on request, from 9.00 am (BST) on Monday 10 June.
