MPs hold first evidence session to scrutinize development finance

The International Development Committee holds its first evidence session on the Future of UK Development Co-operation inquiry: Phase 1 - Development finance, on Tuesday 18 June.

Purpose of the session
This is the first evidence session for the Committee’s inquiry on Development Finance. The first panel offers the opportunity to discuss the changing needs for development assistance, new types of development finance and the potential impact of these changes on DFID’s future role. The second panel is a chance to explore the possible role for concessional loans and the pros of cons of setting up a UK development bank.
