Debate on immigration e-petition scheduled for 22 April 2013

The Backbench Business Committee has announced that a general debate will take place on Monday 22 April relating to the e-petition entitled ‘Stop mass immigration from Bulgarian and Romanians in 2014, when EU restrictions on immigration are relaxed’.
The lead member will be Mark Pritchard, following his representation to the Committee for this debate.

The Backbench Business Committee has announced the following backbench business:
Monday 22 April in Westminster Hall
- General debate relating to the e-petition entitled ‘Stop mass immigration from Bulgarian and Romanians in 2014, when EU restrictions on immigration are relaxed’ (Member in charge: Mark Pritchard)
The Committee has used its powers to convene a sitting in Westminster Hall on a Monday afternoon from 4.30 – 7.30 pm on the subject of an e-petition.
The Committee can consider any subject for debate, including those raised in e-petitions or national campaigns but an MP must go before the Committee to make the case for their consideration.
