The Liaison Committee takes evidence from David Cameron, continuing the Committee's regular questioning of the Prime Minister.

On this occasion the questioning will focus on two themes as follows:
Protecting the public: the Government's role and accountability
- Food quality: lessons from the horsemeat scandal; the role of the Food Standards Agency; testing capacity; the responsibilities of departmental chief scientific advisers; food prices and food poverty.
- Railways: lessons from the InterCity West Coast franchise competition; Government policy on franchising; rolling stock and private sector finance.
- Accountability: Civil Service performance and the capacity to learn from failures; accountability for major projects; the role of No. 10.
Developments in Syria and North and West Africa
- The situation in Syria: the UK's diplomatic response and the supply of non-lethal equipment, and multilateral relief for the humanitarian crisis.
- The situation in Mali and its surrounding region: diplomatic approaches, and the UK's deployment of UK Armed Forces to assist military training; the terrorist threat.
- The Sahel: development issues and women's rights.
