Ministers questioned on progress in Embedding Sustainable Development in Government

The Environmental Audit Committee will hold a public evidence hearing on progress in embedding sustainable development in Government, at 1.30 pm on Wednesday 6 March in the Thatcher Room, Portcullis House

The session will examine the Ministers’ role in embedding sustainable development in government departments, following up a similar hearing last July. It will examine their role in reviewing departments’ business plans; developments in sustainability/emissions reporting by departments and private sector companies; departments’ compliance with environmental appraisal methodologies; departments’ performance against ‘Greening Government Commitment’ targets and their sustainable procurement responsibilities.
