Academics questioned on political instability in North and West Africa

This is the first evidence session for the Committee’s inquiry into extremism and political instability in North and West Africa.

Among issues the Committee is likely to discuss with witnesses are the military intervention in Mali, the Algerian hostage crisis in January, and extremism across the region.
