Committee asks for questions to put to the Planning Minister

Committee wants your questions for planning minister.
On 17 June the Communities and Local Government Committee will question the planning minister, Nick Boles MP, on new planning arrangements set to come into force on 30 May.
Under the rules, homeowners and business will have greater freedom to extend their properties or change the use of buildings without the need for planning permission. For domestic extensions a new ‘light touch’ neighbour consultation scheme will be introduced.
MPs on the Committee want to know what questions you think they should be asking the minister. This will help ensure that their questions reflect the public’s most pressing concerns. Whilst we don’t look at individual cases, examples that provide lessons applicable to the planning system in general are very welcome.
The Committee invites suggested questions, with background information, to be submitted by midday on Monday 3 June. Questions should be labelled ‘Planning: questions for minister’, sent to clgev@parliament.uk, attached in Word format and be accompanied by a covering email containing the name and contact details of the individual submitting the questions.
