The Public Administration Select Committee (PASC) will hold a pre-appointment hearing with the Government’s proposed candidate for Chair of the Committee on Standards in Public Life (the selection process has not yet taken place). PASC anticipates that this will take place in July.

At the pre-appointment hearing the Committee may raise with the candidate issues arising from the Triennial Review of the Committee on Standards in Public Life (CSPL). Therefore PASC invites interested members of the public to submit written evidence on the review and the role of CSPL in advance of that oral evidence session.

The Triennial Review, conducted by the Rt Hon Peter Riddell, was announced on 18 September 2012 and the findings (PDF) published on 5 February 2013.

The Committee’s call for evidence (PDF) gives details on how to submit written evidence.
