Purpose of the session

On 7 February 2013 the Secretary of State announced his proposals for the future of secondary school accountability measures, qualifications and the national curriculum. The relevant consultation periods have just ended. This evidence session is intended to give the Committee an opportunity to explore the Secretary of State's plans and the response to them, before final decisions are taken on the three related areas.
