The House of Lords has today appointed a Select Committee to consider and report on the Mental Capacity Act 2005.

This is a Lords only Committee which is charged with conducting post-legislative scrutiny. It will be chaired by Lord Hardie, former Advocate-General for Scotland. The Committee will begin meeting in June.
