The International Development Committee is holding the first evidence session for the Committee's inquiry on Democracy and Development in Burma on Monday 11 November.

Purpose of the session

The Committee will be meeting with three Non Government Organisations currently working in Burma. The Committee will be discussing with them the recent changes in Burma with particular reference to the development challenges for NGOs and DFID - this will include the role of civil society, the ethnic conflict and donor coordination and how UK funds are best spent.
