  • Rt Hon David Lidington MP, Minister for Europe, Foreign and Commonwealth Office

Specific areas the session will cover include:

  • How successful have the government been in persuading other Member States and the European Parliament to support the changes it wants to see to how EU regulations are developed?
  • How far has the government’s work with other EU countries to gather evidence on abuse of social welfare systems in the EU got?
  • Ukraine’s progress in meeting the reform criteria set out by the EU in its Association Agreement.
  • How important is the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership to the debate in the UK on EU membership?
  • Are EU proposals to prevent future banking crises overly dependent on the role of Member States rather than EU institutions such as the European Central Bank?
