Secretary and Minister questioned on Scotland Analysis Defence paper

Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for International Security Strategy, Dr Andrew Murrison MP, gives evidence to the Scottish Affairs Committee on Tuesday 12 November at 1pm.

The UK Government has issued a series of Scotland Analysis papers, which seek to set out as much information as possible for voters who will have to decide in September 2014 whether Scotland should become a separate country.
These papers are sponsored by a number of different Government departments, and the Scottish Affairs Committee has undertaken to take evidence on each of them.
When it was published, the Secretary of State for Defence described the recent Scotland Analysis Defence paper as;
“the most comprehensive analysis to date of the potential consequences of Scottish independence on the UK’s approach to defence and on Scotland’s future security and prosperity.”
The Committee will be asking UK Ministers about the subjects covered in the Defence paper and why defence matters in the referendum debate.
