Adoption of the European Scrutiny Committee's Reasoned Opinion by the House of Commons

Following the Fifteenth Report of the European Scrutiny Committee, the House of Commons debated and agreed a motion adopting a Reasoned Opinion on an EU draft Regulation to establish a European Public Prosecutor’s Office.  The Reasoned Opinion, which has been sent to the Presidents of the European Institutions, sets out the reasons why the House of Commons believes the legislation does not meet with the requirements under Protocol (No. 2) to the EU Treaties.
