MPs hold special evidence session on humanitarian crisis in Syria

The International Development Committee is due to hold a special oral evidence session on the current humanitarian crisis in Syria with the Secretary of State for International Development

The UN estimates that 6.8 million people in Syria need humanitarian assistance as a result of the crisis and over 2 million refugees have fled to neighbouring countries. This session examines the UK’s response, focussing on its commitment to provide £500 million humanitarian aid.
