Following its public meeting on Tuesday 8th October, the Committee has determined the backbench business for Thursday 17th October.

Thursday 17 October in the Chamber

  • Debate on a motion relating to defence reforms (Members in charge: John Baron, Jim Dobbin, David Nuttall, Mr Jim Cunningham and Mrs Mary Glindon)
  • Debate on a motion relating to funding support for deaf children and young people (Members in charge: Sir Malcolm Bruce, Mr Stephen Lloyd)

At its public meeting on Tuesday 8th October, the Committee heard the two bids outlined above.

E-petitions

The Committee can consider any subject for debate, including those raised in e-petitions or national campaigns but an MP must go before the Committee to make the case for their consideration.
