At 10.45am:

  • Rt Hon David Willetts MP, Minister for Universities and Science, Department for Business, Innovation and Skills

Possible questions

Questions that Mr Willetts will be asked may include;

  • What is the Government doing to maximise the participation and success of UK higher education institutions, research organisations and businesses in securing funding under the Horizon 2020 programme?
  • How will the UK take advantage of the increased funding for student mobility programmes such as ‘Erasmus+’?
  • What is the Government’s view of the Commission’s ongoing development of a European ranking of higher education institutions (U-Multirank)?
  • To what extent are the Government’s immigration policies adversely affecting the objectives of the UK’s international education strategy, and will proposals under the Immigration Bill have an effect on the UK’s ability to recruit students from the EU and elsewhere?
