Treasury Committee approves appointment of Sir Jon Cunliffe

Following the appointment hearing on Monday 14 October, the Treasury Committee has confirmed that it has approved the appointment of Sir Jon Cunliffe as the Deputy Governor of the Bank of England responsible for Financial Stability.
The Committee is satisfied that Sir Jon has the professional competence and personal independence to be appointed and wishes him every success in his new role. The Committee will publish a report reflecting this decision.
