Forestry Minister Dan Rogerson MP questioned on EU forestry policy

The House of Lords EU Sub-Committee on Agriculture, Fisheries, Environment and Energy will this week take evidence from Dan Rogerson MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Water, Forestry, Rural Affairs and Resource, as well as officials from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and the Forestry Commission.

- What appetite is there on the part of the UK Government and other Member States to improve the standing of the European Commission’s Standing Forestry Committee as a forum to coordinate EU forestry policy?
- What is the Government and Forestry Commission’s view of proposals by the European Commission to review its Timber Regulation in 2015? What actions are the Government taking to engage with stakeholders ahead of that review?
