Purpose of the session

The UK Government has pledged to publish a series of Scotland Analysis papers in the run-up to the referendum on separation for Scotland, to be held on 18 September 2014. The purpose of these papers is to provide an analysis of numerous aspects of public policy in the potential event of Scotland leaving the United Kingdom.

The evidence session on Wednesday 9 April 2014 is divided into two panels.  The first is on borders and citizenship, the second is on EU and international issues.

The EU and international issues document is the ninth paper in this series, published on 17 January 2014.  The borders and citizenship document is the tenth paper in this series, published on 23 January 2014.
