Lords publish letter to Sajid Javid MP, Financial Secretary to the Treasury

On 1 April 2014, the Sub-Committee on Economic and Financial Affairs wrote to the Financial Secretary to the Treasury setting out its views on shadow banking, including the European Commission proposals for a Regulation on Money Market Funds and a Regulation on Reporting and Transparency of Securities Financing Transactions.
This follows evidence heard from Patrick Pearson, Acting Director of Financial Markets, European Commission, and Matthew Fell, Director, Competitive Markets, CBI. The Minister has been invited to respond by 6 May 2014.
