The Scottish Affairs Committee takes evidence from Lord Smith on the Smith Commission's proposals for further devolution, following the Scottish referendum.

Purpose of the session

Following the referendum vote on 18 September 2014, the Government appointed the Smith Commission "to take forward the devolution commitments on further powers for the Scottish Parliament". The Commission reported on 27 November.

The Committee questions Commission Chair Lord Smith on the Commission’s proposals for further devolution, which include devolved powers over income tax and Air Passenger Duty, some benefits and the election and running of the Scottish Parliament, among others.
