The Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee will question Professor Chris Elliott about his interim review of the Integrity and Assurance of Food Supply Networks which was published in December 2013.

The Elliott review’s objectives were to examine the integrity and assurance of food supply networks; to consider issues which impact upon consumer confidence in the authenticity of food products; and to make recommendations. The session provides an opportunity for the Committee to ask Professor Elliott about his key findings and recommendations.
The evidence session will be held on Wednesday 8 January 2014.

At 3:30 pm

The Committee will take evidence from

  • Professor Chris Elliott, School of Biological Sciences, Queen’s University, Belfast, and Director of the Institute for Global Food Safety
  • Professor Pat Troop, expert to the review
  • Gary Copson, expert to the review

The meeting is expected to take place in Room 15, main committee corridor, in the Palace of Westminster. Visitors should check the exact location nearer the time on http://services.parliament.uk/calendar/
