This is the second evidence session for the Committee’s inquiry into UK policy towards Iran, building upon the one-off session held by the Committee on 5 February last year on Iran’s nuclear programme.

Purpose of session

The inquiry is looking at how the UK engages with Iran’s foreign policy and its nuclear programme, and its approach to normalising the diplomatic relationship between the two countries. The session with the Rt Hon Jack Straw MP and fellow members of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Iran will explore the knowledge and impressions gained by members of the Group during their visit to Iran earlier this month.
