Publication of report: Committee’s response to the IPSA consultation

The Committee on Standards today publishes its response to the IPSA consultation on the MPs’ Scheme of Business Costs and Expenses:
The Committee agrees with many of IPSA’s proposals, and welcomes the fact that IPSA is concerned to ensure that the Scheme does not unduly deter representation from all sections of society and shares that concern. It considers IPSA should ensure its rules do not have unintended consequences. The Committee welcomes the proposal that no further consultation should take place until after the General Election in 2015.
