The Environmental Audit Committee will hold its final public evidence hearing on the Growing a circular economy inquiry at 1.30 pm on Wednesday 2 July 2014 in the Wilson Room, Portcullis House

Purpose of session

The Committee will take evidence from Dan Rogerson MP, the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State responsible for resource management, and officials from Defra, DCLG and BIS as part of its inquiry into ‘Growing a circular economy’. The Committee will examine the Government’s approach to the circular economy, including co-ordination across Government, use of regulations and taxes to create the conditions for greater circularity (including re-use, re-manufacturing and recycling) and how it is promoting innovation and resource efficiency amongst UK businesses.
