Shadow Chancellor questioned on Scottish currency options

The Scottish Affairs Committee takes evidence on options for Scotland's currency on Wednesday 18 June 2014.

The Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer, Ed Balls MP and the Shadow Financial Secretary to the Treasury, Cathy Jamieson MP appear before the Scottish Affairs Committee to discuss the options for Scotland’s currency in the event of any separation from the United Kingdom after September’s referendum.
The Scottish Government has stated its aspiration to have a monetary union with the rest of the UK, but the UK Government has ruled out this option.
