The Environmental Audit Committee will hold a final public evidence session on the Marine Protected Areas inquiry at 2.30 pm on Wednesday 2 April 2014 in the Thatcher Room, Portcullis House.

  • George Eustice MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Farming, Food and Marine Environment, Defra
  • Professor Ian Boyd, Chief Scientific Adviser, Defra

In this afternoon's session the Committee will be asking the Minister about progress on establishing Marine Conservation Zones.  Issues to be covered include the quality of evidence used in designating the Zones and the need for effective management of the Zones by the regulatory authorities.
