Purpose of session
The Culture, Media and Sport Committee announced an inquiry into the work of Arts Council England on 10 January 2014. This first evidence session will consider the scope, scale and remit of the Council and how it makes its funding decisions. Evidence will be taken from a former Chair of the Arts Council and the three authors of a recent report, “Rebalancing our Cultural Capital”. The latter looked at the geographical distribution of funding for the arts.
