The future of the BBC World Service

On Monday 24 March at 4.35pm in the Wilson Room, the Foreign Affairs Committee will be taking evidence on the future of the BBC World Service.

The Committee will be looking at the implications for the BBC World Service of the transfer in funding from Foreign and Commonwealth Office Grant-in-Aid to the BBC Licence Fee. The main areas for discussion are expected to be the degree of protection for the interests of the World Service within the BBC’s decision-making structures, and future levels of funding.
