The International Development Committee is to hold the final evidence session as part of the inquiry into the UK's development work in the Middle East on Thursday 8 May.

Purpose of the session

This is the final evidence session for the Committee's inquiry into the UK's Development Work in the Middle East. It provides an opportunity for Members to question the Minister of State about DFID's work in the region.

The first part of the session will focus on the humanitarian crisis arising from the Syrian Civil War, both within Syria itself and in neighbouring countries such as Jordan and Lebanon. The second part of the session will focus on the situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPTs).
