As part of the Committee’s ongoing scrutiny of the work of the Government Office for Science, the committee will hear from two panels of witnesses on the work of the Government Office for Science and the subject of science advice.

The Committee meeting will take place on Monday 10 November 2014 at 4.05pm in the Thatcher Room, Portcullis House.
GO-Science Annual Report 2013-14
During the first part of the evidence hearing, the Committee will put questions to Sir Mark Walport the Government’s Chief Scientific Adviser relating to the Government Office for Science Annual Report 2013-14.

The second part of the hearing will be an introductory session in which the Committee will put questions to Tim Leunig, the recently appointed departmental Chief Scientific Adviser for the Department for Education.

The session is open to the public on a first come, first served basis. Portcullis House is the building directly above Westminster Station, the entrance to which is accessible via Victoria Embankment. There is no system for the prior reservation of seats in Committee Rooms. It is advisable to allow about 30 minutes to pass through security checks. Committee rooms and the timing of meetings are subject to change.
