Community Rights: Second evidence session announced

On Tuesday 18 November the Committee will hold the second oral evidence session of its inquiry into community rights—at the Ivy House pub in Nunhead, south London. The Ivy House is the first pub in the UK to have been listed as an Asset of Community Value, and the first building to have been bought under the “Community Right to Bid” provisions of the Localism Act 2011. In this session the Committee will look in particular at the effectiveness of the Community Rights to Bid and to Build.
