The House of Commons Governance Committee takes evidence on the current governance of the House, including the impact of splitting senior roles, and the model of the National Audit Office (NAO).

Purpose of the session

In the first half of the session two former Leaders of the House, and a member of the Commission, are questioned about their opinions on the governance of the House, including their recent experience as members of the Commission.

In the second half of the session the recently appointed Chief Executive of the Civil Service is questioned on his role, particularly about the advantages and disadvantages of splitting senior roles, as well as the Chief Operating Officer at the NAO giving evidence on their model.
