Committee take evidence on climate change adaptation

The Environmental Audit Committee will hold its first public evidence session on its Climate change Adaptation inquiry at 2.15 pm on Wednesday 5 November 2014 in the Thatcher Room, Portcullis House.

Witnesses

The Committee will take evidence from:

  • Martin Budd, Strategic Advisor, Environment and Climate Change, Kingston upon Hull City Council
  • Kristen Guida, Director (Climate South East), Climate UK
  • Alex Nickson, Deputy Chair, Local Adaptation Advisory Panel
  • Paul Crick, Director, Environment Planning and Enforcement, Kent County Council

Purpose of session

This is the first session in the Committee’s inquiry on climate change adaptation. The Committee will be hearing from representatives of local authorities, a local resilience forum, the Local Adaptation Advisory Panel and Climate UK. This session will examine local issues surrounding climate change adaptation, and the local perspective on these.
