Purpose of the session

In the first panel the Committee hears from an experienced Civil Servant about the skills and expertise of a Chief Executive, along with an understanding of operating in a parliamentary context.

In the second panel senior managers from four different parts of the House Service give their views on governance and related issues.

The final panel, with senior staff and an academic who has extensively studied Parliament, focuses on issues on staff development.
