GM and the precautionary principle - Second evidence hearing

This is the second session of the Committee’s inquiry into genetically modified (GM) foods and the way in which these are regulated at European level under the precautionary principle.

The session will focus on attitudes to biotechnology in general and GM foods in particular across three groups: the general public (panel one), consumers (panel two) and farmers (panel three). Witnesses include public engagement experts, consumer groups, trade bodies and representatives of the agricultural sector.
