Examination of Additional Provisions
14 October 2014
The examination of the recently deposited Additional Provisions for compliance with Standing Orders took place on Monday 13 October.
The Examiners found that Standing Order 10A had not been complied with, and certain Standing Orders had not been complied with in respect of the time prescribed by the Standing Orders for the giving of notices and making of deposits applicable to the purposes of the Additional Provision. This is because of the timing of deposit within the parliamentary year. The Examiners’ report will now be considered by the Standing Orders Committees of each House on dates to be determined.
Petitioning against the Additional Provisions remains possible until 1pm on Friday 17 October.
