The Work and Pensions Select Committee holds the third of four oral evidence sessions for its inquiry into Employment support for disabled people: Access to Work.

Purpose of the session

The session will consider:

  • DWP’s administration of AtW from the perspectives of employers
  • The arrangements for AtW cost-sharing with employers
  • AtW support for people with mental health conditions
  • AtW guidance in relation to self-employed people, particularly owners of nascent small businesses, and the rules around profitability and earnings
  • The "30 hour rule" for support workers, particularly as it affects sign language interpreters
  • The potential for substantially increased funding for AtW
