Lords to hear further evidence on EU-Russia

On Thursday 30 October the House of Lords EU External Affairs Sub-Committee will take evidence from Fyodor Lukyanov and Ambassador Revaz Gachechiladze.

The Committee will this week take a close look at Russian and Georgian perspectives of current relations between the EU and Russia, the formation of the Eurasian Union and the consequences of that for the European Union, and the EU's European Neighbourhood Policy.

Witnesses

The evidence sessions will take place on Thursday 30 October in Committee Room 1, House of Lords:

  • At 10.05am: Mr Fyodor Lukyanov (Chairman of the Council on Foreign and Defense Policy and Editor-in-Chief of Russia in Global Affairs)
  • At 11.05am: Ambassador Revaz Gachechiladze (Georgian Ambassador to the UK)

  • What has been Russia's response to the Association Agreement between the EU and Georgia?
  • How effective is the EU's European Neighbourhood Policy and how should the policy be adapted in the future?
