Baroness Quin to attend Fundamental Rights Conference

Baroness Quin will be attending the Fundamental Rights Conference in Rome on 13 and 14 October on behalf of the House of Lords European Union Committee.

The conference will be considering:
- how to uphold fundamental rights to combat exclusion
- data protection and new rights in the digital era
- establishing a common European migration and asylum policy
- the new tools needed to combat discrimination in the EU.
The conference has been arranged under the Italian presidency of the Council of the European Union. The presidency rotates to a different member state every six months.
