Independent inquiry into child sexual exploitation in Rotherham

Following the Jay Report into child sexual exploitation in Rotherham, the Communities and Local Government Committee will take oral evidence from the report’s author, Professor Alexis Jay, from the Leader of Rotherham Council and representatives from the Local Government Association on Monday 13 October.

The Committee will examine the extent and nature of child sexual exploitation in Rotherham, the Council’s response and the extent to which the exploitation in Rotherham may be symptomatic of a wider problem facing local authorities across England.
